To suppress a backlash in a plurality of directions based on signal processing with respect to a movement of a device including an image tremor correction device, and to make more excellent image tremor corrections.SOLUTION: An image tremor correction device comprises a movement detection unit 101 that detects movements of an imaging device. A movement determination unit 102 is configured to acquire a detection signal of the movement detection unit 101, and determine a movement occurring in the imaging device. A correction method determination unit 103 is configured to, when the movement in a first direction or second direction is detected, determine a correction method for performing a backlash correction in the first and second directions on the basis of the movement in the first or second direction. A first correction-amount calculation unit 104 and a second correction-amount calculation unit 105 are configured to respectively calculate an amount of correction of an image tremor with respect to the movement in the first direction and the movement in the second direction in accordance with the correction method determined by the correction method determination unit 103. A correction control unit 106 is configured to perform correction control by an image tremor correction member in accordance with the calculated amount of correction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
