Abstract:
PURPOSE: To make the image cancel mixer compact and to use it at a high frequency band.
CONSTITUTION: The image cancel mixer is composed of an RF band 3dB 90° hybrid 1 where one signal is inputted, an RF band 3dB common-mode hybrid 16 where the other signal is inputted, a pair of single mixers 18 and 19 where these respective hybrid outputs are inputted, and an IF band 3dB 90° hybrid 17 outputting an IF signal by inputting the output of each mixer. A single mixer consists of two high-pass filters 4 and 10 (5 and 11), one low-pass filter 12 (13), one Schottky barrier diode 8 (9), and a bias circuit 14 (15) applying the bias to this Schottky barrier diode.
