Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image data processing system that can easily retrieve desired image data among many image data stored in a storage device.
SOLUTION: The image data processing system is provided with a digital camera 3 that photographs a photographing object and a server computer 4 that is provided with a storage device with a large capacity storing image data of the photographing object photographed by the digital camera 3. The digital camera 3 and the server computer 4 are connected via a communication path 2. A storage device of the server computer 4 stores the image data of the photographing object photographed by the digital camera 3. The server computer 4 generates reduced picture data (thumbnail picture data) on the basis of the image data and transmits the reduced picture data to the digital camera 3. A flash memory of the digital camera 3 stores the reduced picture data and a user can retrieve desired picture data while observing the thumbnail pictures.
