Abstract:
PURPOSE: To automate reading of image information from a book original and to save man-hours by using a book original reader having an automatic page turn-over function as an image input device.
CONSTITUTION: A book original reader 200 is provided with an original read unit having a page turn-over means of a book original. Multi-value data of a book original read automatically by the reader 200, are threshold processed by an image processing means 101 image processing such as data compression is applied to the data and the resulting data are stored in a storage means 103 and displayed on a display means 102. Furthermore, in this image filing system, data stored in the storage means 103 are read and given to the processing means 101, in which image processing such as data expansion is applied to the data and the resulting data are displayed on the display means 102 and the processed image is edited as required and printed out by an image forming device 300.
