Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation material which is excellent in contrast and resolution of an image transferred to a to-be-transferred body by laser thermal transfer and an image formation method.SOLUTION: An image formation material has, on a support, a photothermal conversion layer and an image formation layer comprising 20-60 pts. mass, relative to the total solid content of 100 pts. mass, of a pigment particles of a number average particle size of 30-100 nm, 1-40 pts. mass, relative to the total solid content of 100 pts. mass, of a copolymer composed of two or more monomers including methacrylic acid and benzyl methacrylate and 5-50 pts. mass, relative to the total solid content of 100 pts. mass, of a plasticizer and is used in forming an image by using a laser beam.
