Abstract:
To provide a technology for enabling a user to simply register biological information to be used for authentication.
Biological information for verification registered from any of a plurality of image forming apparatuses 1A, 1B and 1C connected through a LAN 5 is stored in an authentication limit information table T1 belonging to a server device 2. In performing user authentication of a user who tries to use the respective digital composite machines 1A, 1B and 1C, an input of the biological information from the digital composite machines 1 is received, and the received biological information is transmitted to a server device 2 to be inquired to determine the acceptance/rejection of authenticating the biological information.
