Abstract:
To reduce unevenness in density of a toner image.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises: a corona charger 20 that applies a voltage to a stretched wire electrode to perform discharging; and a photoreceptor drum 10 that is arranged below the corona charger 20 and has, on a peripheral surface, a photoreceptor layer charged by the corona charger 20, the photoreceptor drum 10 in which the photoreceptor layer has chargeability at both ends in the direction of rotation axis of the photoreceptor drum 10 higher than that at a center part. The image forming apparatus can charge the photoreceptor drum 10 so as to reduce unevenness in surface potential of the photoreceptor layer, and thereby can reduce unevenness in density of a toner image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
