Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus which solves a problem in which bookbinding processing may be stopped during paper feed instructions after starting cut processing of binding members in ring bookbinding processing which performs cut processing of the ring-shaped binding members prior to the start of sheet printing, and in that case, the binding members which are already cut and printing papers need to be removed by a user, so subsequent jobs cannot be printed until the processing is complete, thereby reducing productivity, and by performing the binding processing when the binding processing during the paper feed instructions is stopped after starting the cut processing of the binding members, it is considered that labor for removing the binding members which are already cut and the printing papers is saved, thereby preventing the reduction in the productivity, but at this time, an unfinished item on which bookbinding processing is stopped is mixed with a product on which the bookbinding is performed, so that it is necessary to sort out the unfinished item being mixed in a post-process, thereby wasting time.SOLUTION: When bookbinding processing is stopped during paper feed instructions after cut processing of binding members, bookbinding is carried out with a binding volume which is different from the binding volume for bookbinding when paper feed is completed to the last.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
