Abstract:
To improve the identification accuracy of an image for identification to appropriately adjust print density for every screen type.SOLUTION: A test chart 300 is output for every screen type. The test chart 300 has a pattern 303-2 for correction arranged thereon, which is composed of a plurality of images 201 for correction, and has an image 301 for identification arranged at a position corresponding to a sampling area 302. A screen type corresponding to the image for identification identified in the sampling area 302 is specified, and a corresponding γLUT is updated based on a result of reading of the pattern 303-2 for correction. All of the images for correction arranged in a proximity area 601 of an area in which the pattern 303-2 for correction is arranged are thinner than the image 301 for identification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
