Abstract:

To discharge electrostatic charges stored in a developing device during development, until restart of next development processing after development processing in a color image forming device.

A contact 102 for applying a high voltage to a developing device 103 in a development processing position and a contact 105 for discharging remaining electric charge in the developing device in a non-development position are provided in a developing device holder 100 of the color image forming device. A remaining electric charge discharging body 300 is connected to the contact 105. The developing device 103 after development processing is brought into contact with the contact 105 for discharging and is stopped after development processing, so that electrostatic charge stored in the developing device 103 during development is discharged through the remaining electric charge discharging body 300 by restart of next development processing.
