To provide an image forming apparatus having a convenient output function, which can generate an image in which image data within an image file and information embedded in the image file are arranged according to the structure of the business form data stored previously in a storage unit in direct printing by connection with an image supply device.

The image forming apparatus includes an information printing determination means 44 which determines whether to print information embedded in an image file transferred from the image supply device; an information analysis means 45 which obtains the information embedded in the image file transferred from the image supply device; a business form data storage means 42 which causes a storage unit to store business form data for forming a business form; an image composition means 46 which reads the business form data from the storage unit and forms an image in which the image data and the information are arranged according to the structure of the business form data; and an image output means 47 which outputs the composed image to an image formation unit.
