PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an error from being left for the long time even when the error occurs during transition to a power-saving mode and prevent impossibility of return to a normal mode.SOLUTION: An image formation device has a normal mode and a power-saving mode. An image formation device includes: a plurality of components; a power supply part which stops power supply to a supply stop portion in the power-saving mode; a monitoring part which causes the power supply part to resume power supply to the supply stop portion when a return factor to the normal mode occurs (when there is an interruption signal); an automatic return signal generation part which inputs the automatic return signal being a type of the interruption signal to the monitoring part after transition completion to the power-saving mode; and an arithmetic processing part which sequentially stops the power supply to the supply stop portion during the transition period to the power-saving mode, and performs return preparation processing for inputting the automatic return signal to the monitoring part after transition completion to the power-saving mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
