Abstract:
To provide an image forming apparatus that can sufficiently exhibit brightness in both a case in which a bright color is used as a single color and a case in which the bright color is used overlapped with the other colors.SOLUTION: When an image forming apparatus 1 prints image data using silver, if respective standard colors are not used in the image data, the image forming apparatus reduces transfer efficiency in an image forming unit 10S for silver, and if the respective standard colors are not used, reversely transfers toner in image forming units 10 for the respective standard colors. With this, the image forming apparatus 1 can reduce the thickness of a silver toner image without generating white streaks, and can increase brightness in an image finally printed on a sheet 100 while distributing a silver waste toner to a waste toner storage unit for silver or a waste toner storage unit for the respective standard colors.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
