To provide an image forming apparatus capable of selecting saving level by a user.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes an image forming unit 14, an operation display unit 4, a selection unit 211, and a determination unit 212. The image forming unit 14 forms an image on a recording medium P. The operation display unit 4 displays a selection screen and accepts a selection operation of a user. The selection unit 211 allows the user to select one of a plurality of levels of savings relating to a resource for image formation via the operation display unit 4. The determination unit 212 determines operation content of the image forming unit 14 according to the saving level selected by the user among the plurality of saving levels.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
