Abstract:
To provide an image formation apparatus which performs storage printing and provides a suitable storage technique of received image data.SOLUTION: An MFP 100 receives image data via a communication IF 37, and determines whether or not received image data is GDI data. The MFP 100 stores the received GDI data in a RAM 33 when determining that the received image data is the GDI data, and rasterizes the received image data and stores compressed compression data in the RAM 33 when determining that the received image data is not the GDI data. The MFP 100 causes an image formation unit 10 to perform image formation based on the GDI data when receiving a printing instruction for the stored GDI data, generates printing data by performing decompression and image processing on the compression data and causes the image formation unit 10 to perform image formation based on the generated printing data when receiving the printing instruction for the stored compression data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
