To alleviate deterioration of image quality and occurrence of residual dye stains in image forming parts and to lessen electrostatic trouble on a color photographic sensitive material by processing it with a specified processing solution and specifying the average grain diameter of a residual silver compound.

This color photographic material is processed with the color development processing solution containing compounds represented by formulae I-IV, and after drying, the silver compound is allowed to remain in an amount of 30-150 mg/m2 in terms of silver, and to render its average grain diameter of ≤0.25 μm. In formulae I-III, each of Q and Q11' is an atomic group necessary to form an N-containing hetero ring; each of R1-R3 is an H atom or a 1-6C alkyl group or the like; and R11' is an H or alkali metal atom or the like, and in formula IV, X is an H atom or a 1-5C alkyl group; Y is an H atom or an alkyl group or the like; M is an H or alkali metal atom; and R21 is a 1-5C alkyl group or the like.
