To provide an image forming method with high picture quality and a toner, a developer and a photoreceptor for the method by which filming of the toner or the like is not caused on the photoreceptor surface, the photoreceptor surface shows extremely little wear and is hardly scratched even when the toner or the like is removed by cleaning, and the photoreceptor is not damaged.
In the electrophotographic image forming method, the photoreceptor has a charge transfer layer containing a charge transfer material(CTM) and polycarbonate (R) having viscosity average molecular weight of 30,000 to 50,000 in the ratio of 5/10 to 10/10 (CTM/R weight ratio). The following toner is used for the image forming method. The toner is prepared by adding hydrophobic inorganic fine particles (having ≤100 nm average particle size of the primary particles) as a post-treatment agent by 0.05 to 2.0 wt.% to a toner having ≤15 μm volume average particle size. The toner, developer and photoreceptor are used for the method.
