This image generation system is composed to decide whether or not the value of the transparency information of a pixel corresponding to an object is within a predetermined reference range, and to, when deciding that the value of the transparency information is within the reference range, plot the color information of the pixel based on the transparency information without plotting the depth information of the pixel, and to, when deciding that the value of the transparency information is not within the reference range, plot the depth information of the pixel, and to plot the color information of the pixel based on the transparency information.
