Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve more real video representation, while enhancing the coding efficiency.SOLUTION: A layering section separates an input image by appearance characteristic information. The layering section layers the input images for each appearance characteristic information, and supplies the metadata appearance characteristic information and a layered image to an image encoding section. The image encoding section encodes the layered image, which is transmitted together with the metadata appearance characteristic information. When the appearance characteristic information is sent as an image, the difference between layers can be sent. The disclosure is applicable to an image processing device.
