Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for improving accuracy of determining a kind of an original document on the basis of read image data.SOLUTION: An MFP100 makes an image sensor 15 to read an image in a state where no original document is at a reading position of the image sensor 15. The MFP100 detects a state of the reading position on the basis of image data read at the time. The MFP100 changes a determination method for determining a kind of an original document on the basis of image data when the original document is read by the image sensor 15 according to the detected result.
