Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress problems that arise in using a sheet of paper, from which some part of the paper is cut off, for printing.SOLUTION: After a target medium on which a first image is printed is discharged by a conveyance mechanism, a second image is printed using a residual medium that a portion of the target medium on which the first image is printed is cut out from the target medium. The length of the residual medium in the specific conveyance direction is shorter than the length of the target medium in the specific conveyance direction. The second image is printed at a position where a distance in the specific conveyance direction between the end on the upstream of the residual medium and the end on the upstream of the second image is shorter than a distance in the specific conveyance direction between the end on the downstream of the residual medium and the end on the downstream of the second image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
