To provide an image processing device that can perform smear correction with high precision even when a smear value is not constant.
An image processing device for inputting an image value signal from an imaging unit comprises: a smear value detector for detecting a first smear value on the basis of the pixel value signal output from a light-shielded photoelectric converter; an interpolation value generator for generating an interpolation value corresponding to a target pixel on the basis of pixel value signal of a neighboring pixel; a correction amount deriving unit for deriving the difference between the pixel value signal of the target pixel and the interpolation value as an estimated smear value, deriving a second smear value smaller than the first smear value on the basis of the first smear value, and deriving any one of the first and second smear values as a correction amount on the basis of the estimated smear value; and a pixel value correcting unit for subtracting the correction amount from the pixel value signal of the target pixel. Accordingly, even when the smear value is not constant, smear correction can be performed with high precision.
