PURPOSE: To obtain a small-size and light-weight image processing device by a method wherein a heater for erasing and a thermal head for recording are so disposed that heat generation parts thereof are abutted on the peripheral surface of a platen roller through a thermally reversible recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: A platen roller 13 and a heater 12 can respectively circularly move about shaft centers (a), (b) of rotating shafts of arms 14, 15 provided on a side plates of a frame 10. There is no possibility that contact angles or contact points of a recording sheet A with a thermal head 11 and the heater 12 may be deviated with the transport of the recording sheet A. Therefore, the heat generation part of the thermal head 11 and the heat generation part of the heater 12 can stably abut on the surface of the recording sheet A, whereby recording/erasing can be ideally conducted. In addition, a pressing means 16 presses the heater 12 and the like through the arm 15.
