Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor that can easily remove isolated pixel portions from an image, reduce the processing time and enhance the accuracy of removing the isolated pixel portions in addition.
SOLUTION: The image processor is provided with a 1st direction detection means (Figure 6 (7)) that discriminates whether or not a 1st column and a 7th column extended in a direction y at an edge of a 5×7 pixel matrix Mat comprising a plurality of pixels in both main and sub directions x, y including a noticed pixel P43 and its surrounding pixels on an image representing input image data to be a background, a 2nd direction density distribution detection means (Figure 6 (8 to 11)) that discriminates the noticed pixel 43 to be an isolated portion when an internal density M24 being a density of 2nd and 4th lines in the middle or in the vicinity of the matrix Mat whose back ground discrimination is established is a density higher than a setting value Th2 than an edge density M15 being the density of 1st and 5th lines at the edge of the matrix Mat, and a means (Figure 6 (12)) that revises image data of the noticed pixel whose isolating portion is discriminated into image data at an isolating portion removal level.
