Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To return a carriage to an accurate home position by a simple configuration by detecting load applied to a stepping motor to be a driving source of the carriage.SOLUTION: Load units 72A and 72B are respectively formed on guide rails 71A and 71B for guiding movement of a carriage 12, and when the carriage 12 is to be moved to a home position P0, load is applied to a stepping motor 64 for moving the carriage 12. A control unit 5 detects load generated in the driven stepping motor 64 by the load units 72A and 72B and compares a load value with a threshold corresponding to a load value based on the load units 72A and 72B. The control unit 5 determines whether the position of the carriage 12 is a first position F1 or not in accordance with the compared result, and when the carriage 12 arrives at the home position P0, stops drive of the stepping motor on the basis of the determination.
