Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow assembly of an original mounting unit and an original reading unit to detect whether it is properly performed.SOLUTION: An image reading apparatus comprises: an original mounting unit 11A; an original reading unit 11B that is assembled to a bottom part of the original mounting unit 11A and reads an original mounted on the original mounting unit 11A; a hook piece 44 that is arranged to the original mounting unit 11A and can be elastically deformed; a cylinder part 53 that is arranged to the original reading unit 11B and holds a state of assembling the original mounting unit 11A and the original reading unit 11B by engaging with the hook piece 44; an assembly detection part 60 that detects that the hook piece 44 cannot be held in the state of assembling the original mounting unit 11A and the original reading unit 11B by elastic deformation of the hook piece 44 during engagement to the cylinder part 53. By the assembly detection part 60, it is detected that the state of assembling the original mounting unit and the original reading unit 11B is in imperfection.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
