Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image surface curvature correction method with which an operator can easily correct image surface curvature while visually checking the image quality of test printing without disassembling an optical scanner, an optical scanner, and an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An optical scanner 30 includes a correction mechanism 40 and a holding part 63. The correction mechanism 40 includes an insertion hole 71 formed in a case 39. The holding part 63 supports a fθ lens 35B movably in the main scanning direction. When an adjustment tool 80 is inserted into the insertion hole 71, an inclined surface 80A of the adjustment tool 80 is brought into contact with an edge 67 of the fθ lens 35B. The insertion of the adjustment tool 80 thus provides force to the edge 67 to move the fθ lens 35B in the main scanning direction.
