An imaging apparatus 1 includes an imaging part 100, an image segmentation part 131, a region moving part 132, a moving amount calculation part 401, and an operation part 306. The image segmentation part 131 segments part of image data as a display region to be displayed on a display part. The operation part 306 designates a target position for the segmentation region within the image data. The moving amount calculation part 401 calculates a moving amount of the segmentation region per predetermined time in horizontal and vertical directions in the image data on the basis of a distance from a position of the current segmentation region to the target position within the image data. The region moving part 132 moves the segmentation region to the target position on the basis of the calculated moving amount.
