Title:
IMPROVED-IMPACT-RESISTANCE THERMOPLASTIC RESIN MOLDING COMPOSITION AND ARTICLE MADE THEREFROM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3827400
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an article made from a known improved- impact-resistance polyester resin/polycarbonate resin blend is not satisfactory in the beautifulness of surface appearance and suffers from intolerable damages due to surface fringes and pits though it has good impact performances.
SOLUTION: An improved-impact-resistance thermoplastic resin composition is produced by a method comprising combining a glycidyl ester impact modifier with a polycarbonate resin to form a glycidyl ester impact modifier/ polycarbonate resin blend and combining this blend with a polyester resin. An article made from the composition produced by this method shows high impact resistance and improved surface appearance.
