To provide a compact and lightweight in-wheel motor driving device which is controlled to an adequate state according to the traveling state of an electric-powered car.
The in-wheel motor driving device comprises a motor unit A for generating the driving force, a deceleration unit B for providing the output by decelerating the rotation of the motor unit A, a wheel hub bearing unit C for transmitting the output from the deceleration unit B to a driving wheel 34, various kinds of sensors for detecting the traveling state of a vehicle, and an in-wheel motor control unit for controlling the rotation of the motor unit A based on the signals from various kinds of sensors. The deceleration unit B comprises curved plates 12a, 12b as revolving members to be rotatably held by eccentric parts 2a, 2b, a plurality of outer pins 14 as outer engagement members which are held at fixed positions on a casing 11a and engaged with outer circumferential portions of the curved plates 12a, 12b, a motion conversion mechanism for transmitting the rotating motions of the curved plates 12a, 12b to an output member 15, and a counterweight 18.
