PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a transfer layer non-formation portion on an indirect transfer film without any defect such as a burr in an image formation method by an indirect transfer technique.SOLUTION: In an indirect transfer method, an ink ribbon and an indirect transfer film are arranged to face each other, a first thermal head for forming an image and a second thermal head for forming a transfer layer non-formation portion on the indirect transfer film are included, and part of the transfer layer on the indirect transfer film is removed onto an arbitrary pattern by the second thermal head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
