Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the subject new compound exhibiting excellent gastric-acid secretion suppressing action, free from side effect and useful as an antiulcer agent.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [Y is H, alkyl, halogen, etc.; Z is CH2N(R5); R is H or CH2CH2X (X is pyridyl, etc.); R1 is H, lower alkyl, arylsulfonyl, etc.; R3 is lower alkyl, OH, alkyloxy, etc.; R3 is H, (halogenated) lower alkyl, etc.; R4 and R5 are H, lower alkyl, aralkyl, etc.], e.g. 4a,9a-cis-6-(3- benzyloxycarbonyl-1,2,4,5,6,7-hyxahydro-3H-azonino[5,4-b]indol-7-yl)-2,9- dimethyl-1,2,3,4,4a,9a-hexahydro-pyrido[3,4-b]indole. The compound of formula I can be produced by condensing a pyrido[3,4-b]indole derivative of formula II with an indole derivative of formula III.
