Abstract:

To provide an information distribution system that can distribute useful information to a portable information terminal in a specific area via a mobile communication network.

An information distribution site S provided with an information distribution server Sa and a distribution information database Sb is connected to relay base stations R1, R2,... that configure a mobile communication network and send/receive a communication ratio wave to/from a portable telephone set 10 and the information distribution server Sa in the information distribution site S reads information corresponding to areas E1, E2,... in charge o the relay base stations R1, R2,... from information recorded in the distribution information database Sb and allows the relay base stations R1, R2,... to transmit the read information to the portable telephone set 10 located in the areas E1, E2,... in charge of the relay base stations R1, R2,....
