A guide information database 13 stores guidance information and guide object position information, and a public phone information database 11 stores public phone position information and management numbers of public phones 300. The information guidance system receives a guidance request from a public phone 300, retrieves the public phone information database 11 on the basis of a management number entered from an exchange 200 to acquire the public phone location information corresponding to the public phone 300 making the guidance request, retrieves the guidance information database 13 on the basis of an entered retrieval condition relating to the relation of positions between the public phone 300 and the guidance object and of the retrieved public phone position information, acquires the guidance information satisfying the retrieval condition and provides an output of the guidance information.
