Abstract:
To appropriately detect a user even when a plurality of people are detected in front of an information processing device.SOLUTION: The information processing device comprises a memory that temporarily stores a program of the operating system (OS), a first processor that executes a process based on the program of the OS stored in the memory, a display unit that shows display information that corresponds to the process based on the program of the OS, a sensor for detecting the distance and position of one or a plurality of persons present in a prescribed range in a direction facing the display surface of the display unit, and a second processor that executes a process based on the detection results of the sensor. The first processor carries out a user authentication process for assessing whether or not to permit the use of at least some of the functions of the OS, and the second processor carries out a registration process of registering the position of a person whose distance is closest among the persons detected using the sensor, in accordance with the timing when assessment is made by the user authentication process to permit use.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
