Abstract:
To improve robustness when an information processing device detects a user by face recognition and controls an operating state.SOLUTION: The information processing device comprises a memory that temporarily stores a program of the operating system (OS), a first processor that executes the program to realize the functions of the OS, and a second processor that detects a face region in which a face is imaged from among the images captured by an imaging unit. The first processor carries out a first process of limiting the use of at least some of the functions of the OS in accordance with the fact that the state of no face regions being detected has continued a prescribed first duration, when face regions are no longer detected while face regions have been detected by the second processor; the first processor, meanwhile, deactivates the first process when there is a user input before the first duration elapses, and carries out, using the OS functions, a second process of limiting the use of at least some of the functions of the OS in accordance with the fact that the state of input by a user being absent has continued for a prescribed second period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
