Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speed up image processing by determining whether a re-expansion processing is performed on a host computer side or an image processor side according to the processing capacity of an image processing device, and generating a proper intermediate language.
SOLUTION: In this information processing method for generating data for making the image forming apparatus print image data, first image data are generated, and the necessity of re-expansion of the data is determined based on the size of the first image data (S404). Whether the re-expansion of the first image data is executed in the information processor or an image processing part is determined (S404), and second image data to be outputted to the image processing part are generated based on the determination result (S406 and S407).
