Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording medium for recording information with a visible laser light having high recording sensitivity, high light-fastness and low error generation rate and an information recording method.
SOLUTION: A recording layer containing an oxonol compound, especially a coloring matter compound represented by formula (I-1) and/or (I-2) is provided on a transparent disclike substrate on which pregrooves are made at a track pitch of 0.6-0.9 μm. In the formula, A1, A2, B1, B2: substituent; Y1 and Z1: atomic group for forming a carbon cycle or a heterocycle; E and G: atomic group for forming a conjugated double bond chain; X1:=O, =NR or =C(CN)2; X2:-O, -NR or -C(CN)2 (R: substituent); L1-L5: methine group which may be substituted; M+: proton or cation; m and n: 0, 1, 2; x and y: 0, 1.
