Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable recording characteristics to be maintained over a long period of time and at the same time, especially improve the stability of light resistance by adding either of coloring matter compounds expressed by two different types of specific structural formulae or both of the compounds to a recording layer.
SOLUTION: The information recording medium is formed by adding to a recording layer either or both of the two different types of coloring matter compound expressed by formula I and/or formula II [in the formulae, A1, A2, B1 and B2 are substitutents; Y1 and Z1 are atomic group required for forming a carbon ring or a heterocycle; E and C are atomic groups required from completing a conjugated double bond ohain; X1 is =O, =NR or =C(CN)2; X2 is -O, -NR or -C(CN)2 (R is a substituting); L1, L2, L3, L4 and L5 are a methine group respectively; Mk+ is an onium ion; m, n, are 0, 1 or 2; x and y are 0 or 1; and k is an integer of 1-10]. Thus it is possible to improve the light resistance while maintaining the degree of modulation and the reflectance at a high level.
