Abstract:
To provide a method for adjusting concentrations of ink in a printer that can suppress wasteful sheets and match concentrations of the ink with target ink concentrations.SOLUTION: Respective apertures of a plurality of ink fountain keys K so that concentrations of ink are equal to target ink concentrations and therefore amounts of ink to be supplied from inside of an ink fountain to an ink fountain roller 21 are adjusted, and then the ink is supplied to a plate cylinder 1. A plurality of ink concentrations in regions corresponding to the ink fountain keys K respectively of a printed matter printed in test printing before main printing are measured. When at least one ink concentrations of the measured ink concentrations are higher than the target concentrations, ink on at least one roller 4a from the ink fountain roller 21 across the plate cylinder 1 is wiped out, and when all measured ink concentrations are lower than the target ink concentrations, the apertures of the ink fountain keys are adjusted based on the target ink concentrations to increase amounts of ink to be supplied to the ink fountain roller 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
