SOLUTION: The ink-jet ink essentially contains a coloring material, wherein the coloring material comprises at least one compound selected from the group consisting of C.I. Direct Violet 107, C.I. Acid Red 14, C.I. Acid Red 52, C.I. Acid Red 87 and C.I. Reactive Red 180 and a compound of general formula (I) or a salt thereof.
