Title:
INK JET RECORDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6317057
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enable a thermal head and a mesh to keep their lives of duration long without contacting the mesh with a heating unit, by a method wherein films which has a smooth surface and prevents ink from flowing out from the holes of the mesh onto the heating unit side are piled on the heating unit side face of the mesh in which plural holes are provided.

CONSTITUTION: No hole exist on the film 12 consisting of organic materials of polyamide base and polymide base and the surface of the film 12 is smooth. Because the film is piled on the heating unit 4 side face of a mesh 1, the mesh 1 which has a file-like surface by formation of holes does not contact the heating unit 4. Therefore, the lives of duration of the mesh 1 and the heating unit 1 are kept long. Further, when the mesh 1 is moved by rotation and the hole 2 filled with ink at an ink reservoir part 9 reaches the front of the heating unit 4, the ink 5 in the hole 2 does not contact the heating unit 4. Therefore, the ink 5 is not flowed out from the hole 2. Furthermore, because the thickness of the film 12 is extremely thin, the heating unit 4 can jet only the ink 5 in the hole 2 corresponding to its front.
