To provide an ink ribbon cartridge generally employed in a thermal printer and its assembling method, particularly to provide an ink ribbon cartridge having a plate spring for biasing an ink ribbon spool in the axial direction for preventing accidental rotation of the spool in the cartridge.
In the ink ribbon cartridge assembling method, the plate spring is inserted to a half-piece of a housing. The plate spring has a setting frame and a plate spring finger extending longitudinally in an acute angle from the setting frame to the opening of the setting frame for positioning the acute-angled spring finger in the half-piece of the housing. The ink ribbon spool having the rotation axis in the half-piece of the housing is inserted from side in respect to the rotation axis and opposing hub ends for guiding the spool in one direction along the rotation axis. One of the hub ends presses down the spring finger at least partially at the opening.
