To enable OPs (overcoat layers) different in texture to be printed in such a manner that a print area is divided in one print, only through the use of one ink ribbon.
The ink ribbon 1 is used for a printer which does printing in such a manner that ink is transferred onto paper by pressing the paper against the ink ribbon 1 and applying an external action to the ink ribbon 1. In the ink ribbon 1, an ink layer of three colors (or four colors including black (Bk)), that is, yellow (Y), magenta (M) and cyan (C), arranged in this order, and two kinds of OPs 1 and 2 are formed on a film base material etc., and constituted in the state of being wound like a roll. Additionally, the OPs 1 and 2 are the overcoat layers which impart different textures to a printing surface.
