Abstract:
PURPOSE: To easily remove a release paper by providing a half cutting mechanism at the discharging side of a cutter which cuts a laminate tape obtained by laminating the release paper on a printing tape, thereby cutting only the printing tape on the release paper of the laminate tape after printing.
CONSTITUTION: When a laminate tape 4 sent from a tape cassette 6 is printed by a printer head, the laminate tape 4 is sent out from a discharging part 2. When a to-be-printed part 1 passes a total cutting mechanism (a) of a cutting part 3, the laminate tape 4 is cut by the action of a movable cutter 13. When the laminate tape 4 passes a passing hole 15a of a guide plate 14, a half cutting mechanism (b) is driven at a position shifted from the to-be-printed part 1 and a cutter 16 slides along the guide plate 14, whereby the laminate tape 4 is cut. At this time, only a printing tape 4a is cut by an edge part, whereas a release paper 4b is left without being cut. Accordingly, the release tape 4a can be easily separated afterwards.
