Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an ink ribbon for thermal transfer capable of forming a transfer image wherein its color can be erased easily by using a light source other than ultraviolet rays and after erasing the color, the image is not colored again.
CONSTITUTION: An ink layer is formed on one side of a ribbon base 11. The ink layer contains a pigment that loses its color when absorbing near-infrared light, a binder agent, and a heat-sensitive adhesive.
