Abstract:
To prevent trouble of operation, e.g. unsmooth stripping of print sheet from ink ribbon, by breaking a specified part of a used ink ribbon being wound around a takeup spool.
A ring cutter 220 being fixed to a spool 3a has outer circumferential edge formed as the edge of a cutter over the entire circumference. When a spool shaft 3a is turned in the winding direction shown by an arrow (a), an ink ribbon 1 being wound around the spool shaft 3a is cut by the ring cutter 220 along the direction shown by an arrow (c) and a cutting part 1a is formed continuously. The ring cutter 220 may have same size as a flange 3b. This arrangement can prevent occurrence of trouble.
