Abstract:
To provide a thermal transfer printer in which unevenness of image is eliminated by preventing adhesion of dust to an ink ribbon.
In a thermal transfer printer forming a color image on a recording material with a thermal head 11, or the like, using an ink ribbon 15, the ink ribbon is rewound automatically by a length of 1 screen or less upon ending print operation before entering into waiting state. At the time of next print operation, the ink ribbon is fed out automatically by the rewound length.
