To provide the ink supply device for a gravure printing machine, in which dew condensation is prevented from generating and the optimum printed matter can be obtained at all times.
In an ink supply case 11 provided on one side of a plate cylinder 1, a hermetically sealed ink supply chamber 15 and an ink outflow port 16, through which water-soluble ink supplied from an ink supply port 17 in the ink supply chamber 15 is poured on the outer periphery of the plate cylinder 1. A heater 21 is mounted on the top surface of a cover 13 forming the top wall of the ink supply chamber 15 so as to heat the cover 13 by the heat generated in the heater 21 in order to prevent the dew condensation from generating on the under surface of the cover 13 due to the temperature difference between the temperature within the ink supply chamber 15 and the outside air temperature.
