Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with a time of preparation for replacement of ink, to lessen the work of cleaning for the ink and moreover to sharply reduce a spoilage at the start of printing due to deflection of an ink fountain roller.
SOLUTION: An ink supply device for a printing apparatus is divided into a plurality of sets of ink supply units 41 in the lateral width direction of the machine and the units 41 are juxtaposed. In this device, the ink fountain roller 26 is divided into a plurality in the lateral width direction of the machine, and each ink supply unit 41 is equipped with one of divided units of the ink fountain roller 26, lateral plates 20 provided on the opposite sides of the divided unit of the ink fountain roller, an ink amount regulating member 29 forming an ink fountain together with the ink fountain roller 26 and the lateral plates 20 on the opposite sides of the roller unit and an ink amount regulator 42 provided for the ink amount regulating member.
